(A) Compared to birds in the CTL group, birds in the 28dph LMANX group had a significantly reduced RA volume (calculated as a percentage of the mean RA volume in the CTL group). RA volumes from birds in the 40-dph LMANX group were not significantly different from the CTL group. (B) Both 28- and 40-dph LMANX groups had significantly fewer RA neurons than the CTL group (calculated as a percentage of the mean RA neuron number in the CTL group).
