Cleavage activity wild-type NEP (•) and NEPv (○) was determined on neurotensin (A), angiotensin (B), bradykinin (C),glucagon (D), GRP (E) and endothelin-1 (F) at a range of substrate concentrations. Activity data were normalised to enzyme concentration and plotted against substrate concentration, and the Michaelis-Menten equation was used to fit them. Error bars represent the spread of two replicate data points. The data are representative of at least two replicate experiments.
