Figure 2

Pretreatment with 15d-PGJ2 reduced the production of IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and TNF-α in ConA-induced hepatitis. (a) The index of plasma IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and TNF-α levels at 6 h, 12 h, and 24 h after ConA injection in mice and effects of both low (10 μg) and high (25 μg) dose 15d-PGJ2 pretreatment groups at the same time. Data are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 6, *P < 0.05 for NC versus ConA, # P < 0.05 for ConA versus ConA + 10 μg 15d-PGJ2, and + P < 0.05 for ConA versus ConA + 25 μg 15d-PGJ2). (b) The mRNA expression of IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, and TNF-α in NC, ConA, ConA + 10 μg 15d-PGJ2, and ConA + 25 μg 15d-PGJ2 group was evaluated by Real-Time PCR (n = 6, *P < 0.05 for NC versus ConA, # P < 0.05 for ConA versus ConA + 10 μg 15d-PGJ2, and + P < 0.05 for ConA versus ConA + 25 μg 15d-PGJ2).
