SPTLC1 (rs7849530) modifies the association between amyloid positivity and ventricular dilation. When controlling for Age, Gender, Education, Diagnosis, and ICV, the amyloid_positive × rs7849530 interaction was statistically significant (t = 6.39, p = 3.14 × 10−10). In the amyloid-only biomarker group, carriers of the G allele showed a greater rate of ventricular dilation than homozygous carriers of the A allele (t = 5.306, p < 0.001).
