Summary of user within the neural-robotic interface loop. Combined BCI-robotic assisted rehabilitation, in addition to therapy, provides multimodal physiological data characterizing movements within each training session. Informed data mining can help generate reliable, robust and sensitive “biomarkers” and/or outcomes of neuromotor plasticity and recovery, which in turn will be enable the clinician to track patient progress, as well as make directed adjustments to treatment parameters. Delivery of such tailored treatments can help accelerate functional recovery in stroke survivors
