… when a parent tells you about the condom s/he indirectly gives you the right to have premarital sex, everybody our age learns it in primary six that having premarital sex is bad and has consequences…What I wish is that parents should teach their children about abstinence but I do not support the idea of condom.

My mum is a devoted religious person, she says that sex is a sin and she is averse to condoms. You cannot talk about it with her…I do not know if she even knows it exists. There are parents with whom you cannot talk about condom use, they say you are already a sinner.
