Infants with a body weight <1,000 g. Indomethacin was given in three doses at 24-hour intervals depending on patient age (<48 hours of life, the initial dose was 0.2 mg/kg, followed by 0.1 mg/kg × two doses every 24 hours. When the age was 2–7 days, the dose of indomethacin was 0.2 mg/kg × three times daily. When the age was >7 days, the initial indomethacin dose was 0.2 mg/kg, followed by two doses of 0.25 mg/kg every 24 hours). Ibuprofen was administered at the dose of 10 mg/kg, followed by 5 mg/kg after 24 and 48 hours.
