Rates of virologic response (A, B) and biochemical response (C) during the 12-mo study period. A virologic response was defined as a serum HBV DNA loss (HBV DNA level of less than 1000 copies per milliliter) and a serum HBeAg loss. A biochemical response was defined as the normalization of alanine aminotransferase levels.
