The MD distributions were computed from aqueous (blue) and glycerol/water (gray) MD simulations; MC SA results are shown in green. The cutoff in the SA results at 1 nm is due to the treatment of donor and acceptor dyes as 1-nm-diameter hard spheres. Post hoc ANOVA/Tukey statistical analysis of pairs of distributions gave confidence intervals of p < 0.05 for all pairs, indicating that differences among the distributions are statistically significant.
