Data included in this figure were calculated from all studies available in the English-language medical literature (1998–2012, National Library of Medicine), which contained the following: data available to enable a calculation of the incidence rate ratio, data for infants <3 mo of age, data for infants 3 to <6 mo of age, and a referent group defined as infants 6–12 mo of age. *Incidence rate ratio only available for those born before the start of the RSV season; the exposure time varied for those born during the RSV season.
