For each axr1 allele and for their respective wild-type strains (Ws-4 for EGS344, EIC174, EVM8, and Col-0 for N8777898 and N3076), and for a combination of multiple mutants, the level of bivalent formation as well as the MCN per cell were measured. For multiple mutant analyses, the N877898 allele was used in a Col-0 background and EGS344 in a Ws-4 background. The complete dataset can be found in Table S1.
