Comparison of calculated transmittance and reflectance spectra for the random structure based on the experimentally fabricated silver nanostructure and an “ordered” one, which is virtually constructed in such a way that the sizes of the nanoparticles are the same and the layouts are uniform, whereas the total area and the total number of particles is equivalent to the case of the former random structures. The average reflectance and the average transmittance of the random structure in the wavelength regime between 1000 nm and 2000 nm are respectively higher and lower compared with those of the ordered one.
