The tail parts of the distributions (in semilog scale) were fitted linearly: log10y = λx + b where λ is the slope of the linear fit. This equation can be transformed into exponential distribution y=(10b)·10λx λ̣ is the parameter characterizing the decay rate in the exponential distributions. Larger absolute value of λ indicates faster decay of the distribution. R2 is the coefficient of determination of linear fit for the tail of semilog data31.
