Neuronal viability was measured 24 hrs after the insult with the MTT assay. Data are expressed as percentage of neuronal viability in untreated, control neurons. Each data point is the mean ± S.E.M. of five separate experiments, each performed in triplicate. Asterisks denote values statistically different from respective controls (NMDA alone; P < 0.05).
