Nonheritability of the A. baumannii M2 persister phenotype on exposure to (a) 4 μg/ml of amikacin or (b) 50 μg/ml of carbenicillin. An overnight culture of A. baumannii M2 was diluted 1:20 with LB and exposed to antibiotics for 24 h.
