In vivo ZTE brain images with 20 μs pulse duration and 5 μs dwell time showing the sagittal and coronal planes. Results are in good agreement with those from simulations and phantom experiments. We note that the ZTE images corresponding to TE = 85 μs eliminate the susceptibility artifact due to the air-tissue interface noticeable in GRE images (TE = 2.5 ms) as indicated by arrows (g).
