Steady state kinetic parameters for the oxidation of urate and thiocyanate by LPO

Km and Vmax were determined by fitting the kinetic data in Fig. 5 according to Michaelis-Menten kinetics. The catalytic rate constant kcat was calculated by dividing Vmax by the concentration of LPO heme. The specificity constant kx was calculated by dividing kcat by Km.
