The asymmetric complex distributions all fit to a single Gaussian with bend angles summarised in Table I. R²-values were: topo II = 0.98; topo IV = 0.92; topo VI M = 0.96; topo VI S = 0.91. The ratio of bent to unbent complexes is in the range of 0.7 to 2.2 for the conditions of the AFM experiments depending on the enzyme. (M), enzyme from M. mazei; (S), enzyme from S. shibatae.
