Pertussis toxin inhibits UDP-Glc-induced expression of HAS2 and IL-8. HaCaT cells were preincubated overnight with or without 100 ng/ml of PTX before UDP-Glc was added to 100 μm final concentration and incubation continued for 2 h. HAS2 (A) and IL-8 (B and C) mRNA were measured by RT q-PCR. Data represent mean ± S.E. of four experiments, ***, p < 0.001, Dunnett's test (A), of five experiments, *, p = 0.017, paired sample t test (B) and in chart (C) mean ± range of one experiment with replicate samples.
