Copper centers modeled in the pmoB subunit of M. capsulatus (Bath) pMMO (pdb 3RGB). The dicopper site (left) is located at the N-terminus of the pmoB subunit, and conserved residues His33, His137, and His139 coordinate the copper ions. The monocopper site (right), located ∼21 Å distant, is not conserved in other pMMO structures, and residues His48 and His72 coordinate the copper ion.
