Relative expression analysis of qoxC/D and of coxC genes in each of the four B. clausii strains after 4.5 (upper panel), 16.5 (middle panel), and 29 (lower panel) hours of growth. The expression level of the transcripts was analyzed by real-time PCR. Normalization was performed with the rpoB transcript which was set as 100 in the first experiment. The efficiency of the rpoB as a reference gene was validated using rpoD as a second reference gene. The average values and standard deviations in three real-time PCR analyses are shown.
