Effects of comparable hyperglycemia hyperinsulinemia for 8 h on GIR and UPR mRNA in patients with T2DM and nondiabetic control subjects. Insulin was infused at 2 mU/kg/min in T2DM patients and in nondiabetic control subjects. In T2DM patients, glucose was clamped at isoglycemic levels (i.e., at their postabsorptive hyperglycemic levels).
