Tyrosine phosphorylation of Y12 in α-actinin1 or Y265 in α-actinin4 is required for dorsal stress fiber establishment, transverse arc maintenance and focal adhesion maturation. Rescue of stress fiber and FA defects in α-actinin depleted cells with the GFP tagged α-actinin1 wt and mutants (A), or α-actinin4 and mutants (B) as indicated, procedures described in Fig. 1 were followed, immunofluorescence staining was performed as indicated.
