Many inflammatory cells and interspersed multinucleated giant cells infiltrated around the nerves in the control group (A). The inflammatory cells were limited to the superficial layer of the epineurium in the intraoperative electric stimulation and decimeter wave group (B). Inflammatory cells had infiltrated the tissues surrounding the nerve in both groups.
