At 8 weeks after transplantation, the number of horseradish peroxidase-positive nerve fibers (arrows) was lower in the simple PLGA group than that in the BMSCs + Schwann cells + PLGA group, and it was lower in the BMSCs + Schwann cells + PLGA group than that in the NgR gene-silenced cells + PLGA group.
