Figure 4

Binding of single-chain single-chain variable domain fragment 637-human serum albumin (scFv637-HSA) to acetylcholine receptor (AChR) in situ at neuromuscular junctions of human intercostal (immunohistochemical staining, × 200).

(A) The binding of scFv637-HSA to AChR at the endplate was demonstrated by immunohistochemical staining. (B) As a negative control, sections were incubated with PBS instead of scFv637-HSA. (A1, B1) Mouse antic-myc monoclonal antibody (mAb) was used as second antibody and goat anti-mouse IgG conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate was used for visualization. (A2, B2) Rhodamine-labeled α-bungarotoxin (α-BTRh) was used to co-localize the same endplates. Green represents c-myc positive expression and red represents α-BTRh positive expression.
