(A) Presence of Ku70 and TUNEL in the cortex of rats of the electric stimulation group. Ku70-positive cells (red, A1), TUNEL (green, A2) and 4’,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) nuclear staining (blue, A3), and all three merged (A4). Ku70 did not co-localize with TUNEL-positive cells. (B) Presence of Ku70 and Bax in the cortex 72 hours after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in the model group. Immunofluorescence staining for Bax (red, B1) and Ku70 (green, B2), DAPI nuclear staining (blue, B3), and all three merged (B4). Ku70 co-localized with Bax in the cytoplasm. (C) Presence of Ku70 and Bax in the cortex 72 hours after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in the electric-stimulating group.
