Figure 3. AEZS-108 suppresses the proliferation (A) and induces apoptosis (B) in DU-145 castration-resistant prostate cancer cells in vitro .

Figure 3

A: Cells were split into a 96-well plate at 5000 cells/well density, starved for one day in serum free medium and treated with 100 nM or 250 nM of doxorubicin (DOX), [D-Lys(6)]LHRH (LHRH), the combination of DOX and LHRH or AEZS-108 in 0.5% serum-containing growth medium. B: The density of apoptotic cells were measured by detecting the accumulation of annexin-V after a 1-day treatment with 1 μM doxorubicin (DOX), [D-Lys(6)]LHRH (LHRH), the combination of DOX and LHRH or AEZS-108 diluted in serum-free medium. Statistical analysis was performed by one-way ANOVA, followed by Holm-Sidak test.*: p < 0.05, **: p < 0.01, ***: p < 0.001 vs. control.
