(A) R-825 inhibited S. pneumoniae growth in a concentration-dependent manner. (B) R-825 showed little cytotoxicity to human cells. Determination of the cytotoxicity against A549 cell line was performed by incubating the cells with R-825 for 48 h using LDH kit, cell lysate was used as positive control. The data shown represent the mean of three experiments; error bars indicate SEM.
