Mesenteric arteries with intact endothelium from control and monosodium glutamate-induced obese rats were pretreated with PD 98059 (1 µM), a specific MEK/ERK1/2 inhibitor (A), SB-203580 (1 µM), a catalytic inhibitor for p38 MAPK (B), or SP 600125 (1 µM), an inhibitor of JNK (C) for 30 min and non-cumulative concentration–response curves to angiotensin II (ANG II) were obtained.
