NFATc4 nuclear expression is increased in cases of PD and DLB. Immunohistochemistry for NFATc4 staining in neurons from the substantia nigra pars compacta, hippocampus area CA3, and layers 5 and 6 of the frontal cortex in human PD and DLB cases. An average of two sections from five control (C) and eight diseased cases were analyzed. Nuclear staining was scored by a neuropathologist.
