Mouse xenograft assay of tumorigenicity of KAT10 cells with or without stable knockdown of BRAF. KAT10 cell clones stably transfected with control (clone 2B2) or BRAF siRNA (clone C9) were injected sc into the flanks of nude mice (n = 4 in each group), and the animals were subsequently monitored for tumor growth. A, Time course of tumor growth over a 5-wk period in mice injected with the indicated KAT10 cell clones. Tumor size was measured on the surface of the skin of the mouse, and tumor volume was calculated as described in Materials and Methods. Each time point represents the average ± sd of the values obtained from four mice in each group.
