Service definition |
Substance abuse intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are direct services for people with substance use disorders or co-occurring mental and substance use disorders who do not require medical detoxification or 24-hour supervision. The programs supply treatment for symptoms and/or disabilities associated with the disorder. Core services generally include a specified number of hours of structured programming per week; individual, group, and/or family therapy; and psychoeducation about substance use and mental disorders. |
