4. Features of attacks: I. Severe, requiring bed rest II. Spontaneous remission III. Symptom-free interval IV. Transient inflammatory response, with one or more abnormal test result(s) V. White blood cell count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, serum amyloid A, and/or fibrinogen |
5. Episodic proteinuria/hematuria |
6. Unproductive laparotomy or removal of white appendix |
