High resolution imaging of copper within the brain of age-matched wild type and Atp7b deficient mice. Brain sections of a WT (upper panel) and Atp7b deficient mice (lower panel) were prepared from age-matched (~11 months) old animals and subjected to LA-ICP-MS imaging to estimate the content of copper. Carbon served as an internal standard in this analysis.
