MDCK cells were treated with MβCD at 37°C for 30 min. The cells were incubated with various amounts of Ia in the presence of Ib (100 ng/ml). Cell rounding activity was scored as follows; +++, 100% rounding; ++, 50 to 80% rounding; +, 20 to 40% rounding; −, no rounding. The experiments were repeated three times, and data from a representative experiment are shown.
