Transcriptional activation by DctD_(141-390) and DctD_(141-394) from the S. enterica serovar Typhimurium glnA promoter was assessed in a single-round in vitro transcription assay. Lanes 1 to 4 contained 100 nM, 500 nM, 1 μM, and 5 μM DctD_(141-390) monomer, respectively, and show increased transcript levels with increasing concentrations of DctD_(141-390). Lane 5 contained 5 μM DctD_(141-390) monomer, and lane 6 contained 5 μM DctD_(141-394) monomer. The arrow indicates the full-length transcript, which is ∼155 bases in length.
