Overview of the general action of CDPSs (cyclodipeptide synthases) and their connection to primary metabolism. CDPSs hijack aminoacyl-tRNAs and employ them in the formation of CDPs (cyclic dipeptides), thus diverting the flow of loaded tRNAs away from the ribosomal machinery.
