C-reactive protein (CRP; P = 0.043), pyridinoline (Pyr; P = 0.046), YKL-40 (P < 0.0001) and matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3; P = 0.008) were significantly greater in GOA than in non-GOA determined with the Mann–Whitney U-test.
