Lytic viral protein expression in noncomplementing and complementing cells. BHK-21 (A) or T-Rex-31 (B) cells were infected with wt MHV-68, wt MHV-68(BAC), ORF31-null mutant (31STOP), or the null revertant (31STOP.R) (MOI = 0.5) as indicated at the top of each panel. At 2 days p.i., cell lysates were analyzed by Western blotting with polyclonal antibodies to MHV-68 ORF45, ORF26, and ORF65 that recognized specific bands as indicated on the right of the panels. Actin was probed to provide loading controls.
