Compound 5b attenuates cell cycle progression in Xenopus oocytes. Oocytes were treated overnight with DMSO (vehicle) or 100 µM 5b. The next morning, progesterone was added and the oocytes and the extent of maturation scored when 50% of DMSO-treated oocytes had completed GVBD. The results of three independent experiments are shown, Error bars represent S.E.M, p<0.001, Student t-test.
