Ectonucleotidase activity, represented as pmoles of generated Pi, in fluids from simple cysts (white columns) and from endometriomas (gray columns) in the presence of ATP, ADP, or AMP as substrate. ATPase and ADPase activities are significantly higher in endometriomas than in simple cysts (***P < 0,001), while AMPase activity was barely detectable and differences could not be determined.
