Cells were pre-treated with the NF-kB inhibitor (BAY117082, 10 µmol/L) or soyasaponins (A₁, A₂ and I, 40 µmol/L) for 30 min and then stimulated with LPS (1 µg/mL) for 16 h as indicated. PGE₂ in the media was quantified with enzyme immunoassays. Results are presented as means ± SD of 3 independent experiments. *: P<0.05 vs. control. #: P<0.05 vs. LPS alone.
