Representative vertical (pitch) gaze patterns during different locomotor tasks. The gaze pitch angle is the sum of the eye-in-head and head-in-space pitch angles. A gaze pitch angle of zero degrees indicates that the cat is looking horizontally. The stride phases for both forelimbs are shown below the graphs.
