The fusion proteins carried N-terminal Strep and C-terminal hexa-histidine tags. Western blot analysis with antibodies reacting with the Strep- and His-tags, respectively, revealed that the fusion proteins carried intact N- and C-termini and provided no indication for incomplete synthesis or proteolytic degradation.
