A lipopolysaccharide (LPS) challenge at adulthood reduces the number of doublecortin (DCX)-positive cells in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus of postnatal day 14 (PND14) neonatal LPS mice. Neurogenesis was evaluated by quantifying the number of DCX-positive cells in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus.
