Here, we presented a bar moving horizontally through the center of the cell's receptive field (elevation: +20° above horizon) from right to left and vice versa. The x-axis denotes the position of the first (of two) edges of the bar stimulus depending on the direction of movement. As indicated in the Materials and Methods Section the extent of the bar is 10° in azimuth and 20° in elevation and moves with 100°/s. The arrows indicate the direction of movement of the bar.
