See Figure 1 for areas compared: these do not include whole continents but only extend from the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn. Many areas mapped in RS1 (including Australia, southern Latin American and southern Africa) are not included in RS2, and are thus excluded from the above table. Water bodies are excluded.
