Mean age: 78.3 (SD 6.9) - from IPD dataset
Treatment = 160 (of which 50/160 had a medical diagnosis)
Control = 81 (of which 25/81 had a medical diagnosis)
Interventions Hospital at home (early discharge)
Type of service: early discharge from hospital; no night care
Control group: hospital care which included development of care pathways and discharge planning
Control group: in-patient hospital care
