Key Points

The guide pin for the PL tibial bone tunnel should be inserted from the anterior border of the superficial medial collateral ligament to the center of the PL tibial insertion site at an angle of 30°-35° in the coronal plane.
If the guide pin does not reach around the mark of the PL femoral tunnel, the surgeon should try again even if the intra-articular apertural point is correct.
With proper positioning of the PL tibial tunnel, drilling of the PL femoral tunnel in the neutral position and the AM femoral tunnel in tibial external rotation can be performed.
When it is difficult to reach the mark with the rigid guide pin, the narrow curved TR technique guide and the Clancy Flexible Drill system allow drilling of the femoral bone tunnels in the correct position.
The flexible depth gauge allows easy measurement of the length of the bone tunnels.
